The Azerbaijani community in France has appealed to the French public and government regarding the provocation of Armenia on the border with Azerbaijan, Report informs.
In the document shared by the Paris House of Azerbaijan, the community condemns Armenia's provocation against Azerbaijan and calls on the international community, as well as the French government, to take appropriate measures to put an end to it.
"It is not the first time that Armenia obstructs the creation of peace with contradictory pretexts, resorts to military provocations for this purpose, refuses to withdraw its militants from the territories of Azerbaijan in violation of the terms of the bilateral agreement, and continues to mine the territories of Azerbaijan," reads the appeal.
The document states that due to Armenia's provocation, Azerbaijan was forced to take retaliatory measures against military targets.
"Azerbaijan's goal in retaliating against military targets is to protect the safety of construction workers in the regions close to the border and to put an end to Armenia's aggression. The Armenian leadership is fully responsible for the provocation, conflict, and losses."
It is emphasized in the appeal that the provocation carried out by Armenia deals a blow to the normalization of relations and the peace process.
"Despite the aggressive attacks of Armenia, the state of Azerbaijan is carrying out large-scale reconstruction and construction works in the territories freed from occupation. This shows once again that Armenia is obstructing the peace process in every way. We call on all international organizations and institutions to take serious measures to prevent such attacks, intensify efforts to push Armenia to abandon the ideas of revanchism, and to come to peace."
