The International Culinary Festival in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, featured a special corner dedicated to Azerbaijan, where the local Azerbaijani community proudly displayed their country’s heritage, Report informs.
The guests of the festival had the opportunity to taste some of the delicious dishes from the Azerbaijani national cuisine, as well as to see some of the souvenirs that reflect the traditions of the Azerbaijani people.
The festival also served as a platform for the Azerbaijani community to share their country’s fascinating nature, ancient history, rich culture, music, cuisine, and tourism potential with the other participants and guests.
One of the highlights of the festival was the performance of ‘Jangi’ dance, a piece from the ‘Koroglu Overture’ by Uzeyir Hajibeyov, the brilliant composer who is considered the founder of modern Azerbaijani professional music art. The festival audience enjoyed the Azerbaijani music with admiration.
