Ukraine condemns destruction of cultural monuments in Karabakh

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine in every possible way condemns any attempts and facts of destruction of cultural heritage sites, particularly in the territories under occupation, Svitlana Fomenko, deputy minister of culture of Ukraine for European integration, said in an interview with Report.

She was commenting on the destruction of the Azerbaijani cultural and architectural heritage by the Armenian forces in the territories that have been under occupation for about 30 years.

The deputy minister noted that the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine is ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan in the protection of cultural heritage as part of the current agreement on cooperation in the field of culture and arts between the Ministry of Culture and Arts of Ukraine and the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture.
