TURKSOY Secretary General: Nakhchivan symbol of unity for Turkic world

The unification of the Turkic world began with Nakhchivan, Sultan Raev, Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), told Report.

He emphasized that Nakhchivan holds great significance for the Turkic world:

"Nakhchivan is the 'golden bridge' of the Turkic world. This region plays an important role in the history and politics of Azerbaijan. At the same time, Nakhchivan is the homeland of Azerbaijan's national leader Heydar Aliyev. I am proud to be here. Nakhchivan is a symbol of unity in the Turkic world."

The Secretary General described Azerbaijan as an important part and driving force of the Turkic world:

"Outstanding literary and artistic figures from Azerbaijan have greatly enriched the common Turkic culture. TURKSOY declared Shusha the cultural capital of the Turkic world for 2023. Throughout the year, all cultural events of the Turkic world were held in Shusha. Indeed, Shusha has become the spiritual capital of the Turkic world."
