Russia aims to strengthen cultural cooperation with Azerbaijan, minister says

Russia is focused on further developing cultural cooperation with Azerbaijan, according to Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova.

Report informs via Interfax, that Lyubimova said cultural collaboration between the two nations is rooted in strong traditions and years of interaction. She expressed a commitment to advancing this partnership, particularly by strengthening ties between cultural institutions and creative groups.

The minister highlighted the importance of the long-standing cultural connections between Russia and Azerbaijan, noting that in 2024, the Russian Culture Days were held in Baku. Additionally, a Russian delegation participated in the World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue in Baku, where agreements were made to prepare Azerbaijan's Culture Days in Russia and organize Russian Film Days in Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Moscow, Rahman Mustafayev, thanked the minister for actively advancing cultural dialogue and confirmed Azerbaijan's interest in continuing joint efforts on these initiatives.
