An exhibition ‘Karabakh horses’ by Latvian artist Dace Strause has opened in Azerbaijan’s Shusha city, Report informs.

Deputy prime minister, Minister of Defense of Latvia Artis Pabriks, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan, has attended the opening ceremony.

“I am glad to be here, not only in Shusha, but also at the exhibition. Horses are a symbol of friendship, freedom and wisdom. This is a landmark exhibition, an indicator of Azerbaijan’s return to Shusha and the establishment of peace and stability. I saw the large-scale restoration work being carried out here,” Pabriks said.

Charge d'Affaires of Latvia in Azerbaijan Vija Busa said: “Today we are opening together an exhibition of Latvian artist Dace Strause, dedicated to the beautiful Karabakh horses.”

The artist herself added that she always thought about Karabakh and wanted to visit there.

“I am very happy to be here. I will continue to draw Karabakh horses to show their greatness and beauty. The very fact of the existence of this beautiful breed suggests that Karabakh is Azerbaijan,” she said.
