“We immediately issued a statement on the fact that Armenians stole the carpets from Shusha, and an appeal was sent to UNESCO,” Minister of Culture Anar Karimov told journalists in Ganja.
According to him, it was proved by the fact that the stolen carpets belonged to the Karabakh school of carpet weaving: “Unfortunately, international organizations do not take real steps in this regard. This indicates the politicization of that organization. But we will continue our work. Even if it is impossible to return them to Azerbaijan, we expect the events to be condemned.”
