Azerbaijani cuisine presented at int’l culinary festival in US

Azerbaijani compatriots residing in Raleigh, North Carolina, represented Azerbaijan at the international culinary festival in the US, Adika Iqbal, head of the Azerbaijan Friendship Organization based in North Carolina, told Report’s local bureau.

She said that representatives of 26 countries took part in the traditional festival, organized to promote the cultures, traditions and national dishes of different peoples living in the US. Along with Azerbaijan, the festival participants tried the cuisine of the US, Italy, Germany, Japan, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Pakistan, Palestine, Slovakia, Syria, Ukraine, Vietnam and other countries.

At the event, the guests showed particular interest in Azerbaijani cuisine. They were presented with delicious dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine - pilaf, dolma, kebab, etc.

Adika Iqbal and members of the association provided local residents and guests with detailed information about Azerbaijan’s culture.
