With the participation of Uzbek companies, new projects are planned in the liberated territories for the production of building materials, pharmaceutical products, and medical devices, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kurbatov told journalists on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku, according to Report.
"Today we launched a textile production project in Khankandi. The enterprise is expected to create about a thousand jobs. 80% of the production will be exported. And it's important that this is the first foreign investment in the liberated territories that provides for job creation and building up the industrial potential of the liberated territories," he said.
Kurbatov noted that there are many opportunities for cooperation, and the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Investment Company operates to implement projects. "I think with such political will and thanks to the warm relations between our leaders, we will definitely achieve even greater heights and results in bilateral cooperation," he concluded.
