UNGA 73rd session chair: COP29 success won’t only be Azerbaijan’s success

The success of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) will not only be the success of Azerbaijan, this event will generally strengthen confidence in the COP, Chairperson of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly María Fernanda Espinosa said at a high-level meeting in Baku “Pathway to COP29 Sustainable & Resilient Future,” Report informs.

“We have heard the words ‘incentive COP’, ‘inclusive COP’, ‘financial COP’. I think these three criteria are at the core of the expected success of COP29,” she said.

“We [high-level meeting participants] want to be part of the success and ambassadors of COP29,” Espinosa added.
