UN deputy sec.-gen. to visit Azerbaijan

The UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed will visit Azerbaijan next week, secretary-general's official spokesperson Stephane Dujarric told Report.
He noted that she will participate in a pre-COP29 event to be held in Baku on October 10-11.
During the visit, the deputy secretary-general will hold meetings in Baku with Azerbaijani state and government officials, members of delegations from many member states who have arrived for COP29, the spokesperson added.
The meetings will see discussions of preparations for COP29, and there will be an exchange of views on various topics, Mohammed will return to New York on October 11, said the spokesperson.
