UN confirms Guterres' participation in COP29 in Baku

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is preparing for his upcoming visit to Baku to participate in the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), UN Associate Spokesperson Florencia Soto Nino told Report.

According to her, Guterres will take part in the opening of the event.

"It is planned that after participating in high-level events and discussions within the COP29, the secretary-general will depart for another trip. He will then return to Baku to participate in the closing ceremony of COP29," she added.
