"I have high expectations for the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference (COP29), which is taking place in Azerbaijan," East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) member, Ugandan politician Jacqueline Amongin said at COP29, Report informs.
"My expectations are mainly related to the outcomes of climate commitments, global climate financing, and climate-vulnerable countries such as African ones. I also want to see leaders staying true to their climate finance promises made at previous COP sessions. But most importantly, I want to see text on adaptation. Adaptation measures need to be doubled," she said.
