Tatyana Molchan: UN welcomes Azerbaijan's environmental efforts

The UN welcomes Azerbaijan's efforts in environmental activities, UN Economic Commission for Europe Executive Secretary Tatiana Molchan said during the presentation of Azerbaijan's Environmental Performance Review (EPR) at COP29, Report informs.
She noted that the increasing number of countries contributing to the fight against climate change helps preserve biodiversity and supports sustainable development.
"We are exploring opportunities to assist in developing sustainable agriculture, paying attention to air quality monitoring and waste management. The establishment of green hospitals is particularly important, which is a significant achievement," Molchan added.
