Sudanese diplomat: Azerbaijan is qualified enough to host COP29

Azerbaijan is qualified enough to host the COP29, which will be held in November 2024, Charge d'Affaires of the Sudanese embassy in Azerbaijan Mustafa Abdul Halim Mahmud told Report.
The envoy noted that Azerbaijan has been a successful venue for numerous global and regional gatherings in recent years.
“In my opinion, Azerbaijan is qualified enough to host COP29, scheduled for November this year," he said.
He noted that the bid to secure the hosting right was intense and challenging.
The diplomat congratulated the Azerbaijani government and particularly President Ilham Aliyev on this accomplishment. He expressed confidence that it will be an exceptionally successful and distinctive event.
