Substantial investments are needed to combat climate change, said Akmal Akramkhanov, Senior Scientist on Sustainable Land Management at ICARDA (International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas), Report informs.
The official made the remark at panel discussions on "AgriFuture 2024: The Impact of Human Capital Investments on Sustainable Agricultural Transformation," held as a part of COP29.
He stated that partners, donors, governments, research organizations, and universities should collaborate in a coordinated and agreed-upon manner to provide the necessary assistance from all parties in the fight against climate change.
Akramkhanov added that the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) is ready to bring innovations and solutions to all private organizations and institutions through its 15 centers operating in different countries: "We are ready to partner with everyone."
