Spanish PM to visit Baku for COP29

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will visit Azerbaijan to participate in the 29th session of the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 29), Report informs.

The move was announced during a meeting between the newly appointed ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Azerbaijan, Cristina Latorre Sancho, and President Ilham Aliyev.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the participation of the Spanish prime minister in COP29, noting that this will be the first visit to Azerbaijan from Spain. Confidence was expressed that the meetings within the visit will give new impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
