Samir Bezhanov: Many agreements reached on Article 6 at COP29

Many agreements were reached on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement within the framework of COP29, Deputy Lead Speaker of the conference Samir Bezhanov said at the COP29 presidency press conference, according to Report.

"The promises and reports submitted by the parties received positive evaluation, particularly regarding the need for a six-fold increase in energy storage capacity," he said.

Bezhanov also noted that today, within the framework of COP29, the Declaration on "Green" Digital Action was launched, obligating parties to use technology in combating the consequences of climate change.

"The Declaration has already been supported by 1000 representatives of the digital technology community and more than 90 governments," he emphasized.
