Nigar Arpadarai: ‘We believe in turning COP29 initiatives into reality’

“We believe that we will turn the initiatives put forward within the framework of COP29 into reality," Nigar Arpadarai, UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP29 Azerbaijan, said during a press conference held on the second day of the event, Report informs.

Arpadarai emphasized that climate change is happening worldwide, and the entire society must take this issue seriously.

"We are doing our best to involve non-governmental organizations, private sector, and charitable institutions. A number of events are planned for the private sector. We believe that we can make the initiatives put forward here a reality," she added.
