Mukhtar Babayev discusses COP29’s climate priorities with UN Secretary-General

President of COP29 Mukhtar Babayev has met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, as stated in COP29’s post on X, Report informs.

“On the sidelines of the first day of COP29 Azerbaijan, COP29 President Mukhtar Babayev and UN Secretary-General António Guterres held a high-level meeting to address the urgent climate priorities that leaders must adopt to accelerate global climate action.

Their discussions focused on scaling up climate finance, enhancing adaptation efforts, and fostering international cooperation for a more sustainable future,” reads the post.
