Moldova prosecutor general: Fight against environmental crimes cannot be conducted alone

The fight against environmental crimes cannot be conducted alone, Moldova's Prosecutor General Ion Munteanu told journalists, according to Report.

He noted that fighting corruption and money laundering is one of the main priorities of Moldova's prosecutor's office:

"The fight against environmental crimes is also considered a priority. No matter how hard we try, we cannot fight alone. Therefore, we need to maintain good relations with all prosecution bodies that prioritize this fight. I express gratitude to Azerbaijan for creating the opportunity to participate in such a serious event related to the fight against environmental crimes."

Munteanu also noted that the prosecutor's offices of Azerbaijan and Moldova maintains close cooperation:

"Yesterday, there was a meeting with the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, during which it was decided to conduct several joint activities next year. We are interested in further developing joint activities."
