Azerbaijan is working to provide the labor market with new skills necessary for the transition to a green economy, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Sahil Babayev said at a high-level round table on "Green Jobs and Skills" within the framework of COP29, Report informs.
The minister noted that the rapid development of green technologies requires constant updating of skills in the labor market, and adapting the education and vocational training system to these changes is a key direction.
He emphasized that in Karabakh and East Zangazur, the training of qualified personnel for green jobs is expanding. These programs not only contribute to the development of the green economy but also create new employment opportunities for the unemployed and job seekers.
