The allocation of financial resources to combat climate change by developed countries should not be seen as a special concession to developing countries, Brazil's Minister of Environment and Climate Change Marina Silva said at a press conference following the first part of the final plenary session of COP29, Report informs.
She noted that such measures are aimed at implementing a transition and transformation that is beneficial to everyone: "There must be responsibility for fulfilling financial obligations. Developing countries do not require financial resources to solve problems related to poverty. The allocated funds, despite their impact on this issue, are primarily intended to prevent intense and frequent climate events."
