Lukashenko confirms plans to attend UN Climate Change Conference in Baku

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko confirmed his plans to come to Baku for the climate conference due in November 2024 as he met with Azerbaijan Prime Minister Ali Asadov in Minsk on October 3, BelTA has learned, Report informs.
The prime minister renewed the Azerbaijani president’s invitation to Aleksandr Lukashenko to attend the 2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP29), which is due to take place in Baku in November.
“We attach special importance to your personal participation, which will give this conference a special status,” Ali Asadov emphasized.
