As part of the Baku Initiative on Human Development for Climate Resilience, it is necessary to find solutions to increase investments in human capital and skills, Liesbet Steer, chief advisor at Systemiq and chair of the ODI Global Advisory, said at a joint session on Baku Initiative on Human Development for Climate Resilience at COP29, Report informs.
She noted that the topic of human development is being discussed at COP for the first time, and this is of great importance.
"Together with several partners, we are trying to implement some issues in this direction. We need to prove to people that investing in this area is important not only from a moral perspective but also from economic and political points of view," she said.
