The share of Caribbean island nations in global emissions is less than 1%, however, the damage to their territories from these emissions is significant, Konris Maynard, Minister of Information, Communications and Technology of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, said at a high-level roundtable during COP29

"Through energy efficiency, green digitalization, and new technologies, we strive to achieve more sustainable processes. The creation of digital infrastructure will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions," he said.

The minister also spoke about the Green Digital Declaration, which is based on cooperation, knowledge and experience sharing: "This declaration will contribute not only to increasing awareness but also to strengthening economic resilience."
