Japarov: Azerbaijan's COP29 chairmanship will greatly contribute to fight against climate change

Azerbaijan's chairmanship at COP29 will make a major contribution to the fight against climate change, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said at today's Informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Shusha, Report informs.
According to Japarov, Kyrgyzstan can play an important role in energy saving.
“This conference [COP29] will provide an opportunity to make progress on many issues, including financial ones. We call on the Azerbaijani side and the OTS member countries to expand cooperation in the field of renewable energy. We also need to expand digital transport practices,” Japarov said.
He also emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is ready to support the expansion of the activities of OTS.
