Italy's special envoy calls Azerbaijan's COP29 projects extremely successful

"One of the main issues on the COP29 agenda will be climate finance, and I think that under the leadership of Azerbaijan, it will be possible to achieve the set goals," special envoy of Italy for climate change Francesco Corvaro told a correspondent of the US bureau of Report.

He emphasized that he visited Baku several times in preparation for COP29, and the projects initiated by Azerbaijan within the upcoming session are extremely successful.

"This COP will not be easy, because we need to discuss the financial issue, and I believe that under the leadership of Azerbaijan, it will be possible to achieve the set financing goals for the COP. Italy is really successfully cooperating with the Azerbaijani COP29 team on the Climate, Peace and Human Mobility initiative. We are working closely with the COP team and implementing a broad action plan for concrete steps regarding the issue of migration related to climate change, food security, and I am very pleased with the cooperation with Azerbaijan," Corvaro noted.
