ISSB working on making climate transition standard a global norm

One of the most important issues regarding the climate transition standard is gaining access to resources, Mardi McBrien, head of the Strategic Infrastructure and Capacity Building Department of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB), stated at the event titled "Climate Transition Plans: Challenges and Solutions" organized within the framework of COP29 held in Baku, Report informs.

"The adoption of climate transition standards this summer is of crucial importance. Now the most important issue is our cooperation with the Transition Plan Working Group to gain access to resources," McBrien noted.

According to her, ISSB is currently working on making this standard a global norm: "Today, more than 30 countries are working on adopting the standard. We are thinking about activities in this direction from China to Australia and Brazil. The UK will conduct consultations about this next year."
