Israeli Ambassador: COP29 becomes one of largest events in COP history

Azerbaijan has organized one of the biggest Conference of the Parties (COP) events to date at the highest level, Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek told Report.

"I would like to congratulate Azerbaijan for hosting the magnificent COP29 event. Azerbaijan has perfectly organized one of the largest and best COPs we have seen so far. Over 50,000 participants have attended COP29, making it one of the most extensive events in the history of the Conference of the Parties. I frequently hear from my colleagues and ministers that COP29 has been organized very successfully. Many important agreements have been reached between various countries within the framework of this event. We congratulate Azerbaijan for undertaking this task and carrying it out at a high level," the ambassador emphasized.

The diplomat noted that Israel takes the issue of climate change extremely seriously and stated that they are participating in this event to strengthen the opportunities for cooperation and partnership between Israel and Azerbaijan, as well as between Israel and the international community. "We strive to share our ideas, discuss the problems we face together, and find the best solutions for future generations. I expect successful cooperation and interactions between different countries and organizations over the next two weeks so that our children can live in a better, cleaner, and greener world," Deek added.
