Ilyas Huseynov: Attempts being made in global media to use political agenda against Azerbaijan

Attempts are being made in global media to change the political agenda and use it against Azerbaijan, Ilyas Huseynov, the head of the sector at the Center for Social Research, said during public discussions on "Hybrid threats against COP29" in the parliament, Report informs.

He noted that the reason for the ongoing attacks on Baku is related to the hosting of COP29, as some developed countries are trying to avoid new financial commitments within climate events.

"Previously, it was determined that the volume of climate financing would amount to $100 billion by 2020. Now, it is planned to increase this amount to $1 trillion. At the COP29 conference to be held in Baku, the discussion of financial issues will allow for concrete results to be achieved. This is what causes concern for some countries," Huseynov added.
