Haber Global: Expectations from COP29 in Baku are higher than previous COPs

Expectations from COP29, hosted by Baku, are running higher than at previous COPs, according to Turkish Haber Global TV, Report informs.

The main focus of COP29 is on financial matters. "Overall, COP29 has three distinct main themes: biodiversity, drought, and finance. Serious discussions are taking place in Baku regarding financial issues," Haber Global stated.

Today's agenda also includes food, water, and agricultural issues. Adaptation to climate change is another key topic, with climate education being one of the kinds of adaptation under discussion.

Additionally, conferences on energy are on the agenda. In total, around 10 symposiums are planned to take place today, extending beyond just bilateral meetings.
