It is impossible to stop climate change without peace, and that is why Baku's initiative combining climate and peace issues is so important, Francesco Corvaro, the Italian Government's Special Envoy for Climate Change, said at a press conference in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that it's time to act for climate and peace.
"We don't have much time to be inactive. We must act, and I believe this platform can be very useful in achieving our goals. It can encourage other countries to think. Climate and peace, climate and security are global issues. No one will escape it. In the future, this could become a serious problem, especially considering possible migration, if we don't find solutions for adaptation and mitigation," Corvaro added.
