Through the integration of various data streams, politicians can develop plans that support the goals of the Paris Agreement, Fiji's Minister for Housing and Local Government, Maciu Katamotu Nalumisa, said at the Rio Trio Initiative event within COP29, Report informs.
Nalumisa noted that Fiji suffers from the effects of climate change, loss of biodiversity, and land degradation in the Pacific region.
"It is crucial that data sharing is enshrined in legislation. We can develop policies that comprehensively address interconnected problems," Nalumisa added.
