Two main issues need to be solved for development of the nuclear energy, Fatih Birol, the head of the International Energy Agency, said at an event titled "Financing Low Carbon Technology Including Nuclear Energy" held on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku, Report informs.
"One of the problems is financial, as in all sectors. In this regard, we will present a comprehensive report for discussion at the Davos Economic Forum. The second problem is related to the nuclear industry. Unfortunately, nuclear industry participants struggle to deliver projects on time and within budget. They need to regulate their activities accordingly as well," Birol noted.
