An international organization of climate activists held a demonstration against false promises in fighting climate change.
According to Report, the activists held an action in the blue zone of COP29.
"This demonstration is in protest against fake solutions that won't lead us to the 1.5-degree target," said one of the participants, Rory Martin Brogan from the United Kingdom.
The participant in the action stated that biomass and bioenergy produce more emissions than coal.
"In the UNFCCC process accounting rules, they are considered renewable sources, but this is an illusion," he said.
The activist emphasized that the protesters want to achieve climate transition and fair climate financing.
