Elmar Mammadov: Azerbaijan's COP29 initiatives guided by 5 key principles

Azerbaijan put forward 14 initiatives that were guided by five essential principles, Elmar Mammadov, the co-chair of the Global Initiatives Group of the COP29 Action Agenda, highlighted these principles during his speech at the Caspian Energy Forum held in Baku, Report informs.
“First, we aimed to balance the pillars of the climate agenda, including financing. Second, we analyzed the balance between increasing ambitions and pragmatism.
Third, we focused on balancing the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of sustainable development goals. Fourth, our initiatives address both global and regional issues. Finally, the fifth principle is to ensure harmony between people and nature," Mammadov emphasized.
