The Green Zone at COP29 is set to commence its operations on November 11, welcoming the public to explore and engage in the world of sustainability.
Report informs that spanning an impressive 37,500 square meters, the Green Zone will host 56 pavilions showcasing local and international companies, as well as government sector initiatives.
Leyla Mahmudova, head of the COP29 Partner Relations sector, revealed that the Green Zone will feature four conference halls, with capacities ranging from 200 to 370 individuals. Additionally, the area will include 18 rooms dedicated to bilateral meetings, a dining area accommodating up to three thousand people, and the exciting Extreme Hangout space.
"The Green Zone will be a hub of daily events organized by NGOs, companies, and government institutions, all focusing on the pressing issues of climate change and sustainable development," Mahmudova said.
