COP28 president: COP29 will achieve success in Azerbaijan

The 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP29) will achieve success in Azerbaijan, COP28 President Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber said in his remarks at the opening ceremony of COP29, Report informs.

"Our actions must be stronger than our words, and we must show ourselves through our actions. Let's be united 'for a green world' as Azerbaijan says and promotes. Let's cooperate and partner together. We must have the will to work on an issue like climate change," COP28 president stated.

Al Jaber also noted that he handed over the presidency to Azerbaijan.
