Colonialism harms not only New Caledonia's economy but also its climate, New Caledonian representative Frederik Veti said in his statement to journalists at COP29, Report informs.

Frederik Veti noted that although New Caledonia is green, it is now covered in polluted air due to three newly built factories.

"We received an invitation to COP29 from Baku, we are attending the stands and joining discussions. I think that after COP29, we can change certain issues or look for ways to work together," emphasized the New Caledonia representative.
