Brazil envoy: Decision to hold COP29 in Azerbaijan of great importance

The decision to hold COP29 in Azerbaijan and COP30 in Brazil is of great importance, Brazilian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Manuel Adalberto Carlos Montenegro Lopes da Cruz said at the presentation of the “Azerbaijan Book” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, Report informs.

“The two countries will play an important role in achieving the goals of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. As part of the COP, Azerbaijan, Brazil and the UAE will contribute to keeping global warming within 1.5 degrees,” the ambassador noted.
