Biden's advisor applauds Azerbaijan's climate finance initiatives

In a briefing with Azerbaijani journalists, John Podesta, special advisor to the US President on international climate policy, announced that discussions with the Azerbaijani side regarding the Climate Finance Action Fund, initiated by the COP29 presidency, will take place during the upcoming World Bank meetings in two weeks.

According to Report, Podesta said negotiations on this topic had already been held and lauded such initiatives.

He noted that the details are still being worked out, especially with the parties with whom joint attempts are being made to attract additional resources to assist the least developed economies.

According to Podesta, the process is ongoing and will continue during the meetings in Washington in two weeks, as well as at the COP29 in November.
