Baku Metro getting ready for COP29

A series of navigation and promotional innovations are being implemented in the Baku Metro as part of ongoing activities related to COP 29, Report informs.

According to Baku Metropolitan CJSC, social advertising posters explaining the event's significance to the general public have been placed in stations and are being broadcast on monitors, presented by the COP29 Operations Company.

"The posters feature calls to protect our world in line with COP29's theme," the statement says.

Additionally, direction indicators in station passages now include COP29 logo information boards at Koroglu station, where the Baku Olympic Stadium, the conference venue, is located. The main goal is to help participants, especially those who rarely use the Baku Metro and foreigners, easily determine their direction.

Joint activities with the COP29 Operations Company will continue, and additional information will be provided to the public. Along with placing social posters, work will be carried out to install directional signs at the Koroglu station to make it easier for event participants to reach the Baku Olympic Stadium.

"In addition to the above, volunteers will also be deployed in the metro to support COP29 event participants, based on the Operations Company's selection and organizational support. This work is currently in its final stages," the Baku Metro's statement says.
