The event was organized by the COP29 Presidency's Youth Climate Champion, in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the State Committee of Azerbaijan for Family, Women and Children Affairs, and in partnership with UNICEF.
The roundtable featured engaging discussions covering various aspects of human development, education, health, and social protection. For example, adolescent girls and young women, in particular, face the risk of gender-based violence and exploitation during climate crises.
The roundtable emphasized the significance of the Baku Initiative on Human Development for Climate Resilience, which aims to ensure individual well-being and empower children and youth to contribute to solving the climate crisis.
The event concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session.
