Azerbaijani deputy minister: ‘We are looking forward to discussing green school standards’

Within the framework of COP29, discussions are planned on green school standards, including the impact of the environment on children's learning, Hasan Hasanli, Deputy Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan, said at a panel session held on the second day of Pre-COP29 in Baku, Report informs.

"First of all, teachers should be qualified specialists in the field of climate change and have relevant skills," Hasanli said.

The deputy minister emphasized that countries participating in UNESCO's Greening Education Partnership initiative will take part in COP29: "We are discussing the progress of agreements reached in previous meetings. We are looking forward to discussing green school standards and the impact of the environment on children and learning."
