Azerbaijan signs green energy agreements with Chinese companies

During COP29, Azerbaijan signed several agreements with Chinese companies aimed at developing renewable energy sources (RES) in the country.
Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy that the signed documents include an agreement with China Energy Overseas Investment Co. Ltd. and SOCAR Green for the construction of a 160 MW solar power plant in the Fizuli region and memorandums of cooperation in renewable energy with China Energy Overseas Investment Co. Ltd. and China Datang Co. Ltd.
These agreements provide for investments in renewable energy projects and the establishment of a Research and Development Center in this field in Azerbaijan.
