Azerbaijan's Energy Minister, US Assistant Secretary of State discuss COP29

The United States support's Baku's COP29 climate priorities, US Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources Geoffrey Pyatt said in a post on the social network X.
"Timely meeting with Azerbaijani Minister Parviz Shahbazov about supporting Baku’s COP29 climate priorities, methane reduction, and diversifying Caspian energy routes and supplies," the post reads.
This year, Azerbaijan will host the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change - COP29. This decision was made at the COP28 plenary meeting held in Dubai on December 11 last year. Within two weeks, Baku will receive about 70,000-80,000 foreign guests.
