Azerbaijan's banking sector to announce green transition financial commitments at COP29

Azerbaijan's banking sector will disclose the size of its financial commitments for green transition at the COP29 climate conference, the Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Taleh Kazimov, told journalists on the sidelines of COP29.

According to Report, Kazimov emphasized that discussions on November 14 at the conference will focus on finance.

"The Central Bank, together with the financial sector, will hold two events consisting of three panels on November 14, where the size of financial commitments that the banking sector is taking on to finance green transformation in Azerbaijan will also be disclosed," Kazimov specified.

According to him, this date will be significant as the country's banking sector will announce its financial commitments through the end of 2030.
