Azerbaijan, Russia mull solution of ecological problems in Caspian Sea

Azerbaijan and Russia discussed cooperation issues regarding the solution of ecological problems in the Caspian Sea.
Report informs that these discussions were held during a high-level bilateral meeting between Zaur Mikayilov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, and Dmitry Kirillov, Chairman of Russia's Water Resources Agency, within the framework of COP29.
The meeting noted the impacts of global climate change and the importance of partnership in managing transboundary water resources.
The parties emphasized the importance of strengthening regional cooperation, developing innovative solutions, and knowledge exchange to ensure sustainable use and protection of joint water resources.
