Azerbaijan and Türkiye to cooperate in water resources management

Azerbaijan and Türkiye have discussed prospects for cooperation in water resources management.
Report informs that an exchange of views took place during a meeting between Zaur Mikayilov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, and Mehmet Akif Balta, Head of Türkiye's General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works, within the framework of COP29.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on the application of innovative technologies in water management and international experience exchange.
Additionally, measures to reduce the impacts of climate change on water resources, management of transboundary water resources, regional cooperation, and opportunities for implementing future projects were discussed.
